As part of the One Vision / Many Voices community arts project, we are happy to invite acclaimed folk duo Magpie to our community!
From the 4th – the 6th of March Magpie will be working with students from BeallElementary School in Frostburg, Maryland to create a folk song. The folk song will be inspired by squares from the One Vision / Many Voices community quilt (see link above for more details).
The elementary school students will also be joined by students from the local high school, college and a senior group to give the song writing process a multi-generational flare.
The folk song will be recorded live at the school on March 6th and will be used to create a community generated music video in the summer of 2013.
